Ganesh Chaturthi

Eco-friendly idols in the colony

FESTIVAL Aurora colony celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, with its eco-friendly collections of Lord Ganesh.

Aparajitha Bukkapatanam

Ganesh Chaturthi is an auspicious occasion, celebrated in the apartments of aurora colony. The apartment members organise this pooja every year, on this religious day and spread the sanctity of Lord Ganesh, among their neighbours. Gathering everybody, on this occasion, has always been a consistent job for them and this time, they have extended their reach to eco-friendly idols of Ganesh made of mud, clay and edible colour combinations. The decoration also included several fruits like custard apples, bananas, mangoes and maize cobs, which increased the beauty of the idols this time.

The festival has always been an insignia of posh-ness, size and its value. But this time, the idols are very compact, beautifully sculpted and decorated naturally, with flowers like marigolds, hibiscuses etc. The idea, behind this simple yet beautiful decoration, is very clear this time, through their Ganesh idols. The poojas were performed by singing songs bhajans and enchanting slokas and the devotees offered his favourite sweets like Modaks, Ladoos, developing the holiness of the environment around a person.

The concept of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi, has become very successful in this colony, which brings prosperity and kindliness, among several people, to bring a diversion among their thinking and to advance them into the future, with a bright hope in life.
